Welcome to Mr Wright's Wiki!

This Wiki is where I brainstorm and plan lesson ideas for use in the classroom and at home. It is not exhaustive, or intended to be a comprehensive curriculum: formal lesson planning takes place using my schools own database system. In addition many of the resources, including PowerPoints, worksheets, interactive games etc that I use in class are stored here. Please feel free to browse, I welcome comments and ideas: you can use the 'discussion' section for this purpose. I also run a blog which you can reach at: www.ismhistory.wordpress.com

On the left hand side you can see various links to different parts of this site, simply click on them to start exploring.

My thanks to Wikispaces for providing this fantastic and free platform for me to use to store and express my lesson planning ideas.

Where I have used other peoples ideas as the basis for worksheets etc I have always tried to properly attribute them, if I have missed you then please do let me know! Some of the resources on here were not made by myself but were provided by other History teachers, either directly or through other share site so my thanks to the entire History teaching 'community' for these! Where teachers have marked their work with names etc I have of course left these intact.

If you are a History teacher just looking for general ideas and inspiration then you could visit my blog, which has a number of useful links. If you haven't discovered it yet then do take a look at www.schoolhistory.co.uk run by Andrew Field which really has to be the Number 1 resource for History teachers!

Remember if you don't have PowerPoint installed on your computer you can still view the presentations on this Wiki, click here for help!
